Established on April 19, 1888, this congregation began as the Norwegian Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church and held services in a Swedish church located between 3rd and Pike. The congregation erected its first church at the corner of 4th Avenue and Pine. This was subsequently sold in 1904 and a new church was built on the corner of 5th and Wall.
